Dr. Nicolas Prevelakis is Associate Senior Lecturer in Social Studies at Harvard University and Associate Director forCurricular Development at Harvard’s Center for Hellenic Studies. He holds a first Ph.D. in Moral and Political Philosophy from the University of Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV), and a second one in Political Sociology from Boston University. Hisacademic interests encompass the history of political philosophy, secularization theory, nationalism, the interplay between religion and politics, and the ways in which social and technological changes affect our view of the self. His research has been published in various articles, book chapters, and encyclopedia entries, in English, French, and Greek. He is affiliated with the Harvard’s Center for European Studies and serves as Senior Fellow in Political Theory at the Institut Montaignein France.
