Ms Dorothy Chou

Dorothy Chou leads the Public Engagement Lab at DeepMind, an artificial intelligence company, where she works to envision what artificial intelligence-enabled futures could look like. She has spent her career building social justice, ethics, & accountability structures at technology companies, including the first Transparency Report—an industry standard that ~90 technology companies use to show how laws and corporate policies affect free expression and privacy online. Outside of work, Dorothy is working toward a Master’s in Practical Ethics at the University of Oxford and is a Venture Partner and angel investor with leading European VC firms Ada Ventures and Atomico focusing on supporting historically excluded founders who are opening up new markets that are traditionally undervalued.
