
Prof Panagiotis Pantazakos
Professor of Philosophy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
Panagiotis Pantazakos is a Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), specializing in Ethics, and also teaches at the Hellenic Police Academy.
He studied Philosophy, Theology, and Law (graduated in 1996) at NKUA. His doctoral dissertation focused on: Natural Theology and Natural Law in the Philosophy of the Sophists of the 5th Century BC.
Among other roles, he has served as:
•Professor at the Moraitis School
•Professor at the National School of Public Administration
•Evaluator of Research Proposals for the State Scholarships Foundation, the Ministry of Research and Technology, among others
•President and Vice President of the Association of Special Postgraduate Scholars (E.M.Y.) of NKUA
•Director of the Department of Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology at NKUA
•Director of the Laboratory for Philosophical Counseling and Self-Awareness
•Director of the Interuniversity and Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program between the Departments of Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology of NKUA and the Department of Philology of the University of the Peloponnese titled “Ethical Philosophy”
•Chair of the Special Interdepartmental Committee of the Postgraduate Program “Philosophy and Administration”
•Member of the Scientific Committee of the School of Tourist Guides of the Ministry of Tourism
•Member of the National Committee on Bioethics and Ethics for Clinical Trials (National Ethics Committee)
•Chair of the Committee for the Selection of Directors of Primary and Secondary Education at the Ministry of Education
