
Prof. Armand Marie Leroi

Armand Marie Leroi is a Dutch biologist based in London. He is known for his research in evolutionary developmental biology and, more recently, cultural evolution. He is the author of two books, Mutants: on the forms, varieties and errors of the human body (2004) which won the Guardian First Book Award and The Lagoon: How Aristotle invented science (2014) which won the London Hellenic and the Runicman Prizes. He has also written and presented various documentaries for the BBC, Channel 4 and National Geographic. He is currently writing a book about the evolution of art and craft.
