Dr. Anastasia-Stavroula Valtadorou

Dr A. S. Valtadorou is a classicist specialising in Greek tragedy. She received her PhD from the University of Edinburgh (2020), supported by the AHRC, the University of Edinburgh, and the A. G. Leventis Foundation. She has presented invited talks and papers across Europe, North America, and Asia, and her publications examine tragedy and its reception. Her essay in Greek Drama V (2020) received the Constantinidis Award (Orlando, FL). In 2023–2024, she was a Stavros Niarchos Foundation Member at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, NJ, and she is currently a Fellow at the Center for Hellenic Studies in Washington, D.C. She was also one of the three national finalists for the 2026 Study UK Alumni Awards (Greece) in Culture, Creativity, and Sport.
