Antoinette is an architect and urban designer who has been an integral part of Foster + Partners for over two decades, where she has risen through the ranks, to become a respected designer and leader across a wide range of projects notably, HSBC Canary Wharf , Swiss Re, ‘The Gherkin’, Hearst Tower, NYC, Regents Place Residential Tower Sydney. She has a particular experience in large scale infrastructure projects leading the design of several airport projects including Heathrow, T2 and T3, JFK New York, Tocumen Airport Panama , Marseille Airport, Mexico City and Spaceport America for Virgin Galactic, The Port Authority Of New York & New Jersey Mid Town Bus station and more recently Project Lead for Solidarity Transport Hub in Poland. In Greece Antoinette has been lead designer for the Ellinikon masterplan and Riviera Tower, the lead urban designer for a new vision for Drama, and the pavilion for the Lyceum of Aristotle in Athens.

Dr Georgios Nounesis
Georgios Nounesis was the Director & Chairman of the Board of the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” (www.demokritos.gr), for the period 2017-2021, re- elected for a second term 2021-2025. During his tenure, he is credited with reforms that led to the rapid growth of technology transfer rates to start ups and multinationals and the creation of successful spin-offs. He pioneered the Stavros Niarchos Industrial Fellowship Program and founded AHEDD, (the Attica Hub for the Economy of Data and Devices), now coordinating “Smart Attica” one the four European Digital Innovation Hubs of Greece. Over the last four years “Lefkippos”, the technology park at Demokritos evolved into a most dynamic organization supporting and accelerating innovative deep-tech entrepreneurship. Since 2020 he has been appointed as a Member of the Board of the Hellenic Space Center, (hsc.gov.gr), a term expiring in 2025. In 2022 he was elected as a member of the NATO Advisory Group on Emerging and Disruptive Technologies. Dr Nounesis studied Physics at the University of Athens (BS) and the University of Minnesota (PhD in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics) and attended executive courses at the Harvard Kennedy School. Other than Demokritos, he held research and academic appointments at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and CNRS (Bordeaux).
Prof Panagiotis Pantazakos
Panagiotis Pantazakos is a Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), specializing in Ethics, and also teaches at the Hellenic Police Academy.
He studied Philosophy, Theology, and Law (graduated in 1996) at NKUA. His doctoral dissertation focused on: Natural Theology and Natural Law in the Philosophy of the Sophists of the 5th Century BC.

Ms Tanya Perelmuter
Tanya Perelmuter is an expert in data technologies and a co-founder of the AI and Society Institute. She also co-founded Fondation Abeona, which champions responsible AI, and serves as its director of strategy. She was a founding member and director of data partnerships at Riskdata, a Fintech platform that analyzed hedge fund risk exposure. She started her career at Con Edison, adapting the New York City power grid and infrastructure to load demands produced by emergence of the internet and personal computing. Tanya holds an engineering degree from Columbia University, an MS in Management of Technology from NYU, and a certification in data science from École Polytechnique.
Ms Vasiliki Poula
Vasiliki Poula is a DPhil candidate in International Development at the University of Oxford, exploring infrastructure projects in post-conflict settings. She investigates the decision-making mechanisms that shape them and their impact on local communities and economies, challenging the conventional view of infrastructure as neutral, purely technical endeavours. Her research is informed by her experience in place-based policy-making – from the Greek Ministry of Education at the national level, to the European Commission at the supranational level, and the OECD at the intergovernmental level – as well as in the non-profit and private sectors. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Law from the London School of Economics (LSE).

Prof Spyridon Rangos
Spyridon Rangos is Professor of Ancient Greek Literature and Philosophy in the University of Patras. He has been educated as a classicist in the University of Athens and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge. He has been a Research Fellow at Princeton University, Fellow in Comparative Cultural Studies, and Associate in Hellenic Studies at the Center for Hellenic Studies / Nafplion, Harvard University, the Director of a Graduate Program in the University of Patras, and the President of the European Society for Ancient Philosophy. His research focuses on metaphysics and the history of ideas in Greek antiquity. He has published extensively on authors ranging from early poetry (e.g. Hesiod) to late antique philosophy (e.g. Proclus), including Plato and Aristotle. His recent book Θαυμάζειν – Ἀπορεῖν – Φιλοσοφεῖν (Crete University Press 2023) has been awarded a prize of excellence by the Academy of Athens (2024).
Mr Alpesh Shah
Alpesh Shah manages IEEE’s global standardization work in strategic existing and emerging technology fields. Standardization is critical in developing, advancing, and scaling outcomes in support of the mission of IEEE – advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. Alpesh’s global portfolio has included advancing critical pathways around international technology governance, trustworthy children’s online and offline experiences, addressing digital literacy gaps, and addressing sustainability and climate change, among other critical intersections to better support future-affirming technological experiences. He also championed global engagements and collaboration and envisioned and established strategic imperatives and practices, allowing for stronger impact to result in the marketplace. Before joining IEEE, he was a global trusted advisor to many organizations in various industries. These experiences included broad and proven experiences ranging from running and advising startups to scale to mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures to global market expansions for multinational entities
Mr Christos Skarkos
Christos Skarkos is a primary school teacher and the Principal of the Vivlos Primary School in Naxos, a position he has held for the past 15 years. He has coordinated two Erasmus+ programs for Vivlos Primary, both focused on the sustainable management of the environment. He has implemented a large number of educational programs on environmental and sustainability issues and has participated in robotics competitions organized by WRO Hellas.
He studied Education at the Department of Primary Education at the University of Crete and holds a Master’s degree (Magister Artium) in “Leadership and Policy in Education” from the Open University of Cyprus. His research interests include school organization and administration, as well as the teaching of primary education subjects—with an emphasis on science (Natural Sciences and Mathematics) and sustainability.
He is a PhD candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment. He is a member of the Coordinating Committee of the international sustainability network From Mythology to Space and serves as an Ambassador of the European Scientix community.
Prof John Tasioulas
John Tasioulas is Professor of Ethics and Legal Philosophy and the inaugural Director of the Institute for Ethics in AI at the University of Oxford. He is also a Senior Research Fellow at Balliol College Oxford. He studied law and philosophy at the University of Melbourne and completed his doctorate as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford. He was previously Yeoh Professor of Politics, Philosophy, and Law at King’s College London, Quain Professor of Jurisprudence at University College London, Reader in Moral and Legal Philosophy at the University of Oxford, and Lecturer in Jurisprudence at the University of Glasgow. Professor Tasioulas is a Senior Fellow in Schmidt Sciences’s AI2050 program and a member of the Prime Minister of Greece’s High-Level Advisory Committee on AI. He has acted as a consultant on human rights to the World Bank and served as a member of the International Advisory Board, Panel for the Future of Science and Technology (STOA), European Parliament. Professor Tasioulas has held visiting appointments at All Souls College, Oxford, the Australian National University, Harvard University, the University of Chicago, the University of Melbourne, and the University of Notre Dame. He has published widely in the areas of moral philosophy, legal philosophy, political philosophy, and the philosophy of technology. Ms Liz Thomas
As part of Microsoft’s Digital Safety Unit, Liz Thomas leads global engagement on digital safety public policy and partnerships, focused on empowering every person to have a safe and trusted digital experience across Microsoft’s products and services. In her role, Ms. Thomas coordinates global engagement on digital safety issues and supports work to address illegal and harmful content online while respecting human rights. She also works with policymakers, companies, and organizations to integrate multistakeholder perspectives on digital safety and drive digital safety initiatives. Before joining Microsoft in April 2020, Ms. Thomas held a range of public policy roles in the New Zealand government. She graduated from the University of Otago with Bachelors’ degrees in Arts and Law and has a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Australian National University.
Ms Eleni Tsatsaroni
Eleni Tsatsaroni is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Researcher at the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications, NCSR Demokritos. Drawing on affect theory, she investigates digitality and the emerging subjectivities shaped by affective human-non-human interactions. At NCSR Demokritos, she works as an AI Education and Training Officer, designing and implementing educational programs that make complex technological concepts accessible and engaging for diverse audiences. Her research and practice are driven by a commitment to rethinking subjectivity more inclusively.
